The short documentary on cultural values of medical imaging made in collaboration with Anwar Saab, The good, the true and the beautiful, was recently screened at the ELSA-conference in Oslo, December 4-5th. The aim of the conference was to bring together the Norwegian ELSA community for dialogue and reflection on fundamental concepts, future orientations and strategic actions. ELSA is a research programme within the Norwegian Research Council, supporting research on ethical, legal and social aspects of emerging technologies (bio-, nano-, and neurotechnology). The organizers are at the moment working on a report from the dialogue-conference.
The conference also initiated a three-year network-program, financed by the ELSA programme. This network will from 2013 be organised from the Programme for Applied Ethics, NTNU.
